Dr. Paul Minotty, the founder of New Vision Eye Center, retired on February 24, 2022.
A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, Paul V. Minotty, MD, earned his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1976. His post graduate training began as an intern at University of Miami Affiliated Hospitals. He then completed a residency in Ophthalmology at The Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Maryland and was Chief Resident there until 1980.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. In 2009, Dr. Minotty founded New Vision Eye Center, Vero Beach, Florida, in an effort to develop a practice dedicated to personal and customized patient care. Dr. Minotty and his wife Denise reside in Vero Beach, where they raised their two daughters.
Upon his retirement, Dr. Minotty turned the care of his patients over to the highly capable hands of his partners, Dr. David O’Brien, Dr. Stephen Tate, and Dr. Robert Reinauer. He has entrusted the care of his cataract patients to Dr. Tate who joined the practice in 2009. Dr. Tate is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon specializing in custom cataract surgery and anterior segment surgery. Dr. Tate’s passion is helping his patients achieve their optimal vision, imparting them with the very best care available.
