Stephen M. Tate, M.D., joined the staff of New Vision Eye Center in October of 2009. Dr. Tate provides custom cataract surgery, laser cataract surgery, astigmatism correction, glaucoma treatment, retinal management, and general ophthalmic care.
Dr. Tate graduated from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2003, receiving honors in nearly every one of his clinical clerkships. After completing an internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH, where he received the prestigious Power of One Award for Patient Satisfaction, he returned to West Virginia University Eye Institute to complete his training in ophthalmology, where he excelled in intraocular surgery.
Formerly with Galloway Eye Center in South Carolina, Dr. Tate has close family ties to the established Vero Beach medical community.
Dr. Tate is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the Indian River County Medical Society, and the Florida Medical Association.
Dr. Tate and his wife Cori have two daughters and reside in Vero Beach.
