Paul L. Winslow, III, M.D. joined the staff of New Vision Eye Center in July of 2013. He specializes in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. This includes surgical repair of retinal tears and detachments, vitrectomy for vitreous hemorrhage, macular puckers and holes, and complex retinal detachments. Dr. Winslow also treats age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein and artery occlusions, flashes and floaters, as well as inflammatory conditions of the eye.
With his outstanding surgical training and specialized diagnostic skills, Dr. Winslow has been providing patients with a high standard of professional care since he began in private practice in October of 2004.
Dr. Winslow is a 1998 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. After completing an internship at Carillion Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA, he returned to the University of North Carolina Hospitals to complete his training in ophthalmology. Because of his interest in retinal disease and surgery, he then completed an additional two year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the Bert M. Glaser National Retina Institute in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Winslow is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
