Project Community Caring - Established in 1987

As part of our commitment and service to our surrounding communities, the New Vision Eye Center's screening team travels throughout the Treasure Coast providing complimentary vision and glaucoma screenings. For a current schedule, please call our office. If you are interested in having our team screen on-site at your community, event, or health fair, please contact Carrie Ludicke at (772) 257-8700 or send an email to minottyeye@gmail.com

Project Community Caring began in early 1987 when Dr. Paul V. Minotty, founder of New Vision Eye Center, saw the need to reach out to the elderly and less fortunate to provide quality eye care at no cost to the patient.

Since its inception, over 50,000 people have been screened for various eye conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and visual difficulties. Approximately 41% of those participating in the screenings were offered complete eye exams by Dr. Minotty, free of charge, to evaluate a condition found through the screening which warranted evaluation by an ophthalmologist.

The New Vision Eye Center’s screening team travels to various locations and communities on a daily basis. Using puff tonometry (to check for glaucoma) and a vision screener, the team is able to provide a quick visual health analysis.

As a benefit to your residents, a complimentary eye exam with Dr. Paul V. Minotty, Dr. Roger J. Meyer, Dr. David J. O’Brien or Dr. Stephen M. Tate will be presented to individuals with potential findings of visual loss or high ocular pressure, which may be a sign of glaucoma.

As the number of residents in our community grows, so will our desire for New Vision Eye Center to have quality eye care available to everyone.
